The Best Couponing Apps!

Today I'd like to talk about some of my favorite coupon apps.  The good thing about using apps when you coupon is that many times you can submit your receipt to multiple apps and get multiple savings on the same item (unless stated otherwise in the details of the rebate).  I've had many items turn out to be free or even profitable after redeeming to multiple apps.  When paired with a print coupon you can make an even bigger dent in your grocery bill.
Make sure to read the rebate details beforehand so you don't get surprised when they don't allow a rebate on an item that was already discounted with a coupon.  I've had instances when I forgot to NOT use a print coupon (because the apps didn't allow it on that particular item) and was denied any extra rebates.  Had I not used the print coupon I could have actually received more cash back with just the app rebates.  But hey, it happens sometimes.  We just have to be extra careful in the future, right?! So, on to my favorite (and most profitable) apps.

1. Ibotta:  (use my link to get a $10 bonus!) This is my number one app.  It has the most rebates and so many items that I already purchase.  Not only do they offer rebates at the most popular brick and mortar stores like Walmart and Target but they also offer rebates at big online retailers (Amazon, eBay etc.) and pharmacies (CVS, Walgreens).
You can browse rebates by store or by category such as grocery, mobile shopping, beer, clothing, bars, travel and more. They also offer 'Bonuses' and friend referrals so you can earn even more.
And its so easy.  All you have to do is 'unlock' the rebate, which will move it to your 'My Rebates' list, then after you've purchased your item, just hit redeem and scan your items and your receipt!  If you want to use a rebate at a 'loyalty card store', make sure you link your loyalty card before you purchase your items and scan your card at checkout or the app won't know about the purchase (and there are no do-overs unfortunately).  Easy right?
Your receipt will show up as pending and after about a day (or just a couple hours sometimes) your cash will show up under 'Account'.  Hit withdraw after you accumulate $20 (or let it grow) and they will send it to your Paypal or Venmo account!  You can also choose to put your money on several different gift cards that they offer.

2. Checkout 51: This app reminds me a lot of Ibotta.  They have an 'alright' selection of rebates and they offer bonuses as well, but not referrals.  You can browse rebates by category or by store.  The redemption process is very similar, however, when you cash out, after you redeem $20 worth of rebates, they actually send you a check in the mail.  So, not as quick as Paypal redemption, but still worth it!

3. SavingStar:  Activate offers then submit receipt (All these apps are pretty similar).  Add loyalty cards BEFORE making purchases so that you don't miss the rebates.  What I like about this app is that you don't need to have a minimum amount in your account to cash out.  You also have the option to receive your cash as a bank deposit, Paypal deposit or you can choose to load your balance onto a gift card.  Right now the cheapest gift card offered is the $5 Starbucks gift card (and who doesn't like a good coffee?).  But no bonuses or referrals for this app.  Boo :(

4. Coupons.com app:  This app is pretty awesome because not only can you print paper coupons from the app but a lot of times you can use the printed coupon AND redeem to the app at the same time!  I've got many items hugely discounted this way.  Something else I like about this app is that when your rebates are approved the money goes straight to your Paypal account.  They have a great selection of rebates and stores as well.  BUT, no bonuses or referrals.  And remember; don't forget to link your loyalty cards before shopping!
Well, there you have it!  My absolute favorite couponing apps!  There are more apps out there and I use several more (on occasion) but 99% of my rebates are done through these apps.  I guess I could mention one more, Mobisave, but I just don't get as much use out of it as the others.  Happy Couponing!!

Why SweeTweet?

First things first, let me tell you about how I chose the title SweeTweet for my blog. If you know me in 'tha' real life (I've watched so many episodes of Teen Titans that sometimes I talk like Starfire, lol *my kids love it, adults not so much*), you know that I have three children.  Three boys in fact.  BTW, I absolutely despise hearing, "Wouldn't you have liked to have a girl?" or "Are you gonna try for a girl next time?  There's still time for a girl!"  No.  There will be no 'next time' and I am EXTREMELY happy with my boys.  Thanks.
My boys are each very special in their own ways.

My firstborn (11 yrs old), I'll call him 'D',  has always been ridiculously active (diagnosed with ADHD at 5 years old *and anxiety later*) but also super smart.  He always scores around the 98th percentile on all his EOGs.  He enjoys various clubs during the school year including Battle of the Books, Steam, Chorus and some others that I can't think of right now.  He does boy scouts, messes around with robots and plays guitar.  He even goes outside (sometimes) and kicks around the soccer ball with his step-father.  He wants to be a doctor.  I know he can do it; he can do anything. I'll probably even let him write something for the blog in the future, if he likes.   Now, on to my middle child.

'J' (6 yrs old) is the more social one.  Always happy and wanting to say 'hey' to everyone he passes.  He's smart as well, entering his Kindergarten year with a 97 average on that assessment test thing.  He also was *almost* the first child in all the kindergarten classes at his school to finish all his word lists.  Proud mama, right here :)  He likes to play on the computer though, and its hard to get him outside sometimes, but we're working on it.  And last, but not least, my youngest.

'A' (currently less than a year old) is my happiest child ever!  He wakes up smiling and smiles the rest of the day!  I mean this little guy is happy to bathe, change clothes, eat (omg, SO happy to eat),  and he laughs at EVERYTHING!  And he LOVES to go outside.  If someone enters or exits the door he crys if we don't take him out :( so I guess he isn't happy ALL the time :) but almost!  He's a sweetie!  That's what I would call him at first, then, somehow it changed to tweetie,  then again to tweet.  Did you catch that?  Sweetie, Tweetie, Tweet.  Hence my title SweeTweet, after my smallest child.

All of my boys are sweet though.  And they ALL love their mama!  And I love them too, forever, they are my gifts from God and I thank Him everyday for sending them to me :)
